Don A. Hicklin

Don A. Hicklin is a Construction Manager for the MCAP Funds, managing property re-development projects and expansions. He also assists in planning and design for new MCAP acquisitions. Prior to joining MCAP in 2022, Mr. Hicklin served as a Senior Vice President of Operations and as a Senior Project Manager for large general contracting firms in Virginia. Previously, he worked at MCAP’s former affiliate, Commonwealth Senior Living. Mr. Hicklin has over 32 years of experience in construction, including work in senior living, medical and hospital, K-12 and higher education, historic renovations, and commercial/retail construction.

Mr. Hicklin has served as a member of the Piedmont Virginia Community College Construction Academy Advisory Board, a member of the Thomas Jefferson Piedmont Economic Development Private Sector Advisory Board, and as a volunteer with the Building Goodness Foundation in Virginia. He received a BS in Business Administration from Bridgewater College.
