MCAP enhances the value of each investment with proactive asset improvements, financial restructuring and innovative operational strategies
The MCAP Funds seek to enhance the value of each investment by taking a proactive role in restructuring each investment, seeking to achieve returns from both asset enhancements and improved operations. Carrying out its investment strategy, MCAP works with Commonwealth Senior Living, a previously affiliated operator of senior living communities, and other third-party management companies.
- Commonwealth Senior Living (“CSL”): MCAP co-founded the predecessor to CSL, based in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Company has grown to become Virginia’s second largest provider of independent living, assisted living and memory care services. Learn More
- In 2019, MCAP sold its interest in the predecessor to CSL, and exchanged its interests in 20 MCAP owned communities, most of which were in the Commonwealth of Virginia for interests in a new subsidiary of a REIT.
- CSL continues to manage other MCAP senior living communities.
