Walter F. Spence

Walter F. Spence is Vice President of Construction of the MCAP Funds. Mr. Spence manages capital projects in the MCAP senior living communities. Prior to joining MCAP in 2025, he served as Director of Infrastructure at St. Joseph’s Villa, where he led strategy for facilities and regulatory compliance. Previously, Mr. Spence served as Vice President of Maintenance and Capital Programs at Commonwealth Senior Living, MCAP’s affiliate, for nine years. With over 20 years of experience in construction and infrastructure, Mr. Spence brings a deep understanding of how projects impact residents and staff, both during and after completion.

Mr. Spence serves on the Richmond Eye and Ear Hospital Authority. He received a B.A. in American Studies from Washington College in Chestertown, MD.
